Acupuncture

Acupuncture or Meridian Therapy is based on normalizing the energy flow (qi) which runs through the acupuncture channels or "meridians" just under the skin. It is a very ancient healing art which has been validated by modern research throughout the world.

At the Kinesiology Center, all doctors are certified by the state of Missouri to do acupuncture and acupressure.  We use acupressure, needle acupuncture, European Electroacupuncture or EAV - in which meridian points are measured and treated electrically, and Bioresonance therapy, in which meridians are treated with a micromagnetic field.

We tailor the treatment to the needs of the patient. Dr. Conable and the late Dr. Bert Hanicke studied EAV and bioresonance therapy from the German founders of these therapies in the US and in Germany. Dr. Hanicke taught EAV for decades through Logan University's postgraduate program, training Dr. Edelmann.

acupuncture.pngThe essential difference between Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine is that the former aims to treat the symptoms of a disease, while the latter aims to diagnose the patterns of a disorder and treats it by bringing the body into homeostasis (balance).  In this way, acupuncture and other forms of energetic medicine fit very well with the philosophy of chiropractic - to normalize the function of the nervous system, allowing the body's own healing capacity to work optimally.
